Regarding my identity, understanding my privilege, acknowledging the weight that my identities hold. Sometimes in having these conversations I feel unsure of my own voice. Sometimes I feel unsure and wary of how I can use my language. Sometimes I feel unsure of how I can use my language in a productive way. Sometimes I feel unsure of how I can use my language in an inclusive way. Sometimes I feel the weight of knowing that my voice speaks on behalf of my identity. I realize that I may be walking a fine line and should expect criticism from an audience. I realize that I may be walking a fine line and should expect misinterpretation from an audience. I realize that I may be walking a fine line. It is clear to me that having dialogue is important. It is clear to me that having dialogue about these things is important. It is clear to me that having dialogue about these things is important in order to make a change. It is clear to me that having dialogue about these things is important, but I still feel nervous. I still feel nervous to talk about these things. I am supposed to feel uncomfortable when having these conversations. I am supposed to be made to feel uncomfortable when having these conversations. These conversations are supposed to open up a feeling that is hard to feel. These conversations are supposed to be hard. These conversations are supposed to be hard to put into words. We have to feel uncomfortable in order to make real change. There is no way to make a change without going through moments of discomfort. Discomfort is the only way to achieve change. The narrative around discomfort needs to change. We should not be afraid to grow. We should not be afraid to learn. We should not be afraid to change. We should not be afraid to talk. We should not be afraid to be confronted. We need to listen. WE NEED TO LISTEN. I want to be cautious not to put words in other peoples' mouths. I want to be cautious not to overstep a line. I want to be cautious not to make assumptions that I do not have the authority to make. I realize that, as a person in a dialogue, a lot of my job is to listen. I realize that, as a person in a conversation, a lot of my job is to listen. Regarding the issue of narrative in our culture. There is an issue regarding the narrative in our culture. There is a problem regarding the narrative in our culture. There is circumstance to narrative. There is circumstance to a narrative. Narrative comes with circumstance. Life is defined by the narrative. It is who writes the narrative who is in power. How do we change the narrative that defines life? How do we change the narrative that governs life? I see that narrative shapes the language we use. I see that narrative shapes the connotations within our words. I see that narrative shapes the connotations that belong to our words. I see that narrative directly affects our lives. The language we use directly affects our lives. The words that we use directly affect our lives. The words that we use directly shape our perception of life. The narratives that we use directly shape our perception of how we are to live. The language that we use shapes how we are to relate to each other. The language that we use shapes the possibilities of what we can be. The language that we use shapes the possibilities and limits of what we can be.The language that we use shapes the limits around what we can not be. Is photography mainly concerned with creating an image? Is photography aware that it creates a narrative? Are we aware that there are narratives that we can not speak? Are we aware that there are narratives that we can not write? Are we aware that language is not confined to words? Are we aware that language is not confined to representations and symbols? Are we aware that narrative is only a particular way to use language?
