STUDY ABROAD: Fine Art Photography

Group Exhibition Site: WASPS Artist' Studios, Glasgow, Scotland Fine Art Photography: The Glasgow School of Art Date: March 7, 2019 I was part of a small Curation Team on this exhibition, working directly with each artist to accommodate unique installation needs. For my own installation, I produced, directed, and edited a visual poem about traveling alone. I wrote about the people I met. I reflected on the intimacy of being in a new place. I reflected on the experience of seeing the world in a new way. I wrote a poem. And then I read it out loud. And then I read it again. And then I recorded it. And then I covered it all up with crowd noise. This video/poem/noise was projected onto a square white canvas hung on the gallery wall. A video on repeat. Earphones were left for visitors to listen. A journal was left on a table for visitors' responses. |
